Platinum Training Centers are the elite group of Decorative Finishing Schools dedicated to teaching beginners, intermediate, and professionals the art of Decorative Painting. The Platinum Training Centers are strategically position across the U.S. and abroad to better serve those wishing excelled training. World renowned instructor, Kelly S. King, Director of Education and New Product Development, has created exclusive curricula taught by each of the Platinum Training Centers worldwide. The curricula taught by each of the Platinum Training Centers, include the most unique and sought after finishes in the Faux Finishing and Decorative Painting Industry. All classes and curriculum taught at a Platinum Training Center are Platinum Preferred Applicator Status which is a resource listing for home owners, designers, and Architects.

Platinum Training Centers teach with both the Platinum Product Lines (available only through the Platinum Training Centers) and the Retail Product Lines (available through the Paint Stores and Retail Outlets). The Platinum Lines include the Platinum Series, Shizen Series and Bellezza Series. The Retail Product Lines include Metallic Paint Collection, Metal Effects, Shimmerstone, Venetian Plaster and Skimstone. (See Below)

Regional Workshops are classes offered exclusively by the Regional Managers and Platinum Training Centers which are part of the Modern Masters Paint Store Support Program held at store locations across the country. Regional Workshops are only available at stores and retail outlets that carry the Modern Masters Retail Lines of products.

Mold-Making for Plaster Base Reliefs Cost: $599.00

Through this 2 day class you will learn the entire process of mold making—from sculpting in clay, (for class purposes we’ll sculpt a leaf), to mixing mold components, to making a mother mold and casting a plaster piece from your mold. This class will enable you to make a mold from any object you want to cast, in order to create a unique wall finish for your client. We will also be making a Northwest Base Relief

finish using plaster pieces made in advance so that you can learn how to apply the plaster pieces to a wall. You will take home your finished 16” X 24” Northwest Base Relief sample board, your mold, your sculpted leaf, a leaf stencil and detailed notes—plus lots of other pertinent information to get you well on your way of learning the 18th century artisan’s skill of becoming a Stuccadore’!
